A Race Angle on the Gulf Spill (Believe It or Not)

In this June 9 broadcast of “America “live” with host Megyn Kelly, NPR News Analyst Juan Williams argued that President Obama has been constrained in his ability to show emotion over the Gulf oil leak because he risks being stereotyped as a “flailing, angry black man.” Deneen Borelli disagrees, saying, “this has nothing to do with race… Obama is incapable of handling a crisis, plain and simple.” The debate got pretty spirited while remaining substantive.
