Tom Borelli on “Fox Business” on Tuesday Afternoon

Dr. Tom Borelli, the director of the National Center’s Free Enterprise Project, is scheduled to be a guest on the Fox Business Network on Tuesday afternoon during the 2:00PM eastern hour.

Tom was asked to speak about the FEP’s latest press release regarding the crony capitalism practiced by the Obama Administration and its corporate supporters.  In particular, Tom is expected to discuss U.S. Department of Energy loan guarantees to risky investments such as Silver Spring Networks energy grid technology [see correction, below] and Fisker Automotive — the latter of which received taxpayer dollars yet chose to assemble its electric cars in Finland rather than the United States.

In the release, Tom noted:

Obama’s clean energy push is resulting in a significant amount of tax dollars backing risky investments that are normally reserved for the very wealthy, and the revelation that some of key investors in these startup companies are politically-connected raises serious questions. The fact that taxpayer funds are stimulating jobs in other countries only exacerbates the frustration by many Americans, especially those who are unemployed.
